The dress was incredible, with reports of it taking 400 hours to make, taking 10 seamstresses to perfect it. The reception was also just as impressive, with a 100 foot-long canopy of lights to welcome the guests along with a two-storey tent flown in from Germany with a series of specialised areas within. There was a beer and wine room, a photo booth, an ice luge, and cigar rollers on hand. Guests also had the chance to have a foot massage during the night and to have their shoes shined. Not only that, but there was also stilt walkers, magicians, a fire breather and acrobatics along with ariel acts. With no confirmation of the costs of this wedding, it’s impossible to argue with all the entertainment and decor that this wedding was more than extravagant.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas – Approaching their wedding day slightly differently, this pair extended the normal day into a lavish three-day celebration to honors both families’ beliefs. They had two ceremonies taking place over a weekend in the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace; on Saturday a Christian ceremony, Sunday a Hindu ceremony. On Saturday, Priyanka wore an incredible dress decorated with over two million mothers of pearl sequins along with a 75-foot long veil. On Sunday, the couple rode on the back of an elephant and had a 40-foot long floral canopy. Both days were both beautiful and incredibly extravagant, exactly as expected.
